How to use impact drill?

1. What is the function of the impact drill?

The Hammer Drill 20MM is an electric tool for drilling holes in materials such as bricks, blocks, and lightweight walls, which is based on rotary cutting and has an impact mechanism that relies on the thrust of the operator to generate impact.

The impact drill is generally made of an adjustable structure. When adjusted to the rotating non-impact position, the ordinary twist drill can be installed to drill holes in the metal; when the rotating belt is adjusted to the impact position, the drill bit inlaid with cemented carbide can be installed on brittle materials such as masonry and concrete. drilling.

The use of an electric impact drill can greatly improve work efficiency, and it has been widely used in indoor wiring laying and other work.

2. How to use the impact drill correctly?

(1) Trial run before operation. The impact drill should be run for 30 to 60s before operation. When running at no load, the running sound should be uniform and no abnormal noise. Adjust the adjustment ring to the impact position, put the drill bit on the hardwood, there should be an obvious and strong impact; adjust the adjustment ring to the drilling position, there should be no impact.

(2) The impact force of the impact drill is generated by the operator’s axial feed pressure, which is different from the operation of the electric hammer; the axial feed pressure should be moderate and not too large. Too big aggravate the abrasion of the impact drill and affect its service life, too small to affect work efficiency.

(3) When using an electric percussion drill to drill deep holes, when the drill reaches a certain depth, the drill should be moved back and forth several times to remove the drill chips. This can reduce the wear of the drill bit, improve the drilling efficiency, and prolong the service life of the impact drill.
